The purpose of the collector series Legacy bow is to be a commemorative Art piece. While they are built to and perform to the same level as all Blacktail Bows, their main purpose is not to be daily shooters, but pieces of commemorative art, to be handed down from generation to generation. Blacktail Bows is pleased to offer our exclusive line of beautifully hand-engraved Legacy Series limb bolts and bezels. For our customers who demand the very best in world-class craftsmanship, our Legacy series limb bolts and bezels are a well-matched addition to the ultimate collector bow. These remarkable works of art are meticulously created (one piece at a time) by world renown talent.
Our engraver is a FEGA Master Engraver, Colt Master Engraver, past President of the Firearms Engravers Guild of America and received the FEGA James B. Meek Award in 1998 for the "Lifetime Contributions to the Art of Engraving".
With a Masters Degree in Fine Arts, he has provided custom engraving for such notable individuals as Norman Schwartzkopf, Juan Carlos King of Spain and Pope John Paul II. Additionally, he has engraved guns for Colt in the USA, Holland & Holland and James Purdey & Sons of London.
