We are pleased to present this very special hand-carved Legacy Series bow —the first of our 25th Anniversary Legacy Series edition.
The extensive level of carving and inlay execution is nothing short of breathtaking. Over 1,350 individually hand-inlaid elements adorn the surface of this fine shooting instrument. An intricate mystic scroll design (incorporating silver and mother-of-pearl inlay) graces the upper and lower riser footing in four locations. A remarkable execution of classic 'checkering' wraps the bow grip and limb wedges with delicate precision. Close inspection of this treatment reveals the shear amount of work involved — as each carved diamond shape (within the checkering pattern) incorporates a subtle silver inlay. A magnificent inlaid buck head is meticulously engraved (in prehistoric Wooly Mammoth Bone) with a micro cautery needle to achieve spectacular detail. The ultra realism of the running buck (in the midst of a lush forest scene) is hand-carved of premium Boxwood and appears as if it could animate and jump right off the bow.
This bow is titled "Mystic Buck". The design concept captures the surreal/euphoria experienced by archers when encountering a mature buck in the forest. The mother-of-pearl inlay expresses the magic of prismatic color —reminiscent of morning light emerging from dew drops on forest leaves. It is easy to appreciate the epic amount of time involved in executing the silver inlay and carving detail on this bow. Our Master engraver has also prepared a very special set of hand-engraved limb-bolts and bezels plated in fine silver in celebration of our 25th anniversary. The heavyweight wood frame/substructure is wrapped in rich Espresso leather and secured with dual (solid brass) combination locks. Removable saddle strap belts (with solid brass buckles) enhance the classic styling. Each corner is buttressed with extra thick leather overlays, heavily stitched for a lifetime of durability. The interior is well-padded and lined with forest green felt. The interior layout is well thought out for presentation and practicality.
